Shocking! I didn’t update the news section of my website ONCE in 2014! My only excuse (and it’s not even a very good one) is that it was a crazy busy year for me. I promise to be less lazy in 2015!
Tickets are available now for the Eros 2015 Exhibit at Photohaus Gallery here in Vancouver, on Friday February 13th. Makes for a uniquely erotic Valentine’s date and there is some amazing work to peruse and purchase (including one or two images of mine!) Tickets are free, but I recommend getting your hands on a couple, as this is a very popular event and tends to fill up quickly! Get your tickets now for the Okanagan Quality Life Society fundraiser and your chance to win a Limited Edition, signed print of “Snowglobe”! Vancouver’s PhotoHaus Gallery is hosting their third annual Mobileography exhibit! Opening night is this Friday, July 26th, from 7:00-11:00 pm. There will be a cash bar up and running so you can have a cocktail or two while you browse. Three of my pieces will be on exhibit, which will run from July 26th through August 17th. In light of the devastating flooding throughout the province of Alberta, Canada, Paula Wallis Photography is holding a raffle to raise money for the people who’ve lost so much due to this disaster. Up for grabs is your choice of two separate 12X18 prints, and entry into the raffle is a $5.00 donation, made via PayPal or e-transfer to wallisphoto@hotmail.ca. A few announcements to make this month! First, my work is currently being featured on three separate blogs (Thank you, bloggers of the world!) To check out my featured pieces, visit: One Million Photographers, Photohab, or The Way I See It. (Simply click the links provided).
Next up; an announcement that has already been posted on my fanpage, but that I’ve neglected to post here, for visitors to my website – and that is that the majority of prints on this website are sold as Limited Edition prints. When you purchase a Paula Wallis print, you are purchasing a Limited Edition print of 20. Once that print has reached it’s limited sales, it will be pulled off the sales portfolios, never to be sold again. This includes prints that have already been purchased, donated for charitable fundraisers, or awarded as prize giveaways on my facebook fanpage. If a particular print is not being sold as a Limited Edition print (due to licensing agreements with other companies, etc) – I will let you know prior to purchase, and this will also be reflected in the lesser cost of said print.
Next; I will, at some point in the near future, be implementing a blog feature on this site, to help you get to know me a little better, and in the hopes of hearing some feedback and getting to know you! Keep an eye out for that. I will post an announcement on my fanpage when that is up and running.
And finally, my BIG news for the month; I’ve been accepted onto a team of a dozen photographers to travel to Siem Reap, Cambodia this Decemember to assist The Giving Lens, in partnership with Anjali House to work in a volunteer capacity with the children of Cambodia, a country, and people, that left a huge impact on me the last time I was there. This is a country, and a cause, that is very near and dear to my heart, and I cannot wait to share my stories and photos with you upon my return in December.

Photohaus Gallery in Vancouver, BC, is hosting The Dark of the Night Exhibit; a collection of night photography featuring pieces by talented local and global photographers. Opening reception will be held Friday, March 29th, from 7pm until late. Three of my pieces will be displayed for the duration of this exhibit. Please visit the facebook event page for more info. Toronto Photography fans! The Toronto Urban Photography Festival is on through March 9th -23rd at the Norman Felix Gallery on Queen Street, Toronto. Stop by for the opening reception this Saturday, March 9th to browse, mingle and view pieces from emerging global and local photographers. My series, The Human Element, was selected as runner up in the Building Giants Global Category and will be on display, and available for sale, for the duration of the festival. Join me at Photohaus Gallery at #14, West 7th Ave, Vancouver, BC for the hotly anticipated Eros Exhibit. Featuring nude and erotic photography from over 50 photographers (myself included), live perfomances, DJ’s, beer and wine bar AND a dance floor! Event starts at 7pm and runs until late. Admission is free so get there early because this event gets busy!

On now through the month of January, the French Collection is showing at Melriches Coffeehouse on Davie Street, Vancouver, BC. Stop in for a coffee and a browse through my collection of prints from the French Riviera. Included in this collection are canvas gallery wraps, silver metallic prints, and 12″X 16″ prints, matted and framed, on fine art lustre paper. Hope to see you there!

Join me this Friday at the Photohaus Winter Salon Exhibit where I will be showing one of my pieces, alongside more than 55 talented photographers, some from as far away as Sweden and Spain! This is their biggest show to date and pieces are priced to sell, with prices ranging from $40 to $200. Come by for a glass of Christmas cheer and a browse through some wonderful work. Located at 14 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver, BC. Reception starts 7pm until late. Hope to see you there:)
