About

Me:

I am based out of beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, and Vancouver locals will recognize many familiar scenes in my photography. I divide my time pretty evenly between Vancouver, the Mount Baker Area and the Okanagan. Between the three locations, they offer up some pretty stunning photo-ops. I also do a fair amount of traveling and tend to lug my gear along with me when I do, so you may see some foreign locales pop up here and there on my site.

I am entranced by light and shadow, and spend a good amount of time chasing the light. I can think of worse ways to spend the day:)

I find myself more and more drawn to the backalleys of Vancouver; revisiting them at different times of the day to see what they look like in this light, or that light. But I still take every opportunity I can get to find myself a wide open vista and sit and soak it up (whilst snapping away, of course).

I also do the occasional portrait session by special request, and spend loads of time polishing up on my portraiture skills while chasing my amazingly photogenic 5 year old around with my camera.

My Gear:

I currently do the majority of my shooting on my beloved Canon 5D Mark II, with my preferred lens of choice being my Canon L Series 24-70mm (which I fondly refer to as The Brick. That thing’s no lightweight). I have a small collection of other lenses I like to take out and show some love to as well. My second favourite being my 50mm f1.8.

I occasionally break out my trusty old Canon 1000D when I have need of my zoom or wide angle lens (as they aren’t compatible with the 5D).

When I’m really in the mood for pure, simple and back-to-basics film photography, I take my La Sardina lomography camera out for some fun. You’ll see a few lomo film shots pop up here and there on my site as well. You’ll know them by the seemingly random focus and deliciously oversaturated colours. I love that little tin can.

My Work:

While I do host gallery shows here in Vancouver (see the “News” section for announcements of any upcoming shows), my prints are also available for purchase online. I ship (unframed) all over the world and payments are processed through PayPal. Please see the “Contact” section to send me a message, or hit me up on Facebook and we can discuss size, pricing, etc. In the meantime, have a browse through my galleries. I hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as I enjoyed capturing them.

Thanks for stopping by.
